A unique event was held in Nepal as The Elephant Festival took place to raise conservation awareness and to help drive back toursim.
The elephants were entered into a beautie pagent, raced against eachother and faced off in a game of football for the event’s finale. The elephants used a regular sized football, with 2 teams of 4 vowing for the championship.

Football fans have been treated to a number of daft decisions and explanations from Sepp Blatter and his motly crew over goal line technoology and a whole host of other things over the past few years, but this next clip kind of sums it all up.
Introduced to European club competition last season, the infamous ‘fifth referee’ has become another fad that hasn’t exacly come off for European football’s governing body. People question whether they actually do anything and thisĀ latet video, picked up on Dutch TV, only strengthens the arguement that these extra officials are just plain pointless.
