Adventure tourism companies on alert after bungee accident

The adventure tourism company that were responsible for the broken bungee cord accident in Zimbabwe have suspended their activities at Victoria Falls for 2 days to investigate what happened on this near fateful day.

I think that the general outcome will consist of getting some stronger rope!

Whilst this accident has become somewhat of a viral phenomenon, as the victim crashed into the Zambezi river, dodged crocodiles and swam to safety, the fact that the company could have killed somebody should not be overlooked.

Beware the risks of Extreme sport

It has been revealed recently that our extreme activities may be damaging our health. We hate to be scare mongers here at Ansell’s but this really is a sure fire warning to insure yourself properly when tackling new extreme pursuits.

Research carried out in Australia found that people taking part in endurance sports such as triathlons and marathons are risking permanent damage to their hearts. The tests studied 40 elite athletes and found that there were signs of stretching of the heart muscle cells and five weeks on there was signs of scarring, suggesting that damage was permanent.

Make sure you consult your doctor when embarking on any new extreme sports and get yourself insured!
