New Junior BMX World Champion Bethany Shriever

Bethany Shriever became the the junior women’s world champion at the UCI BMX World Championships.

The Great British Cycling Team celebrated her success as she beat Saya Sakaibara with an epic finish in final 100 meters.

Bethany said “Words can’t describe it. I’m so happy, I’ve done it – there’s so much relief now.”

It follows on from a disappointing 2016 where she crashed out of the final in Colombia. Well done Bethany!

Erendira Wallenda’s 300 feet teeth stunt

How does hanging 300 feet above Niagra Falls by your teeth sound?

Crazy right? Well that’s exactly what Erendira Wallenda did and in the process smashed the world record of 250 feet, which was set by Nik Wallenda, her husband. Yes, her husband! You see they are somewhat of stunt couple and Nik is most famous for his tightrope walk across Niagra falls in 2012 that was shown on live tv.

Would you have the bottle?

After 110 gruelling minutes, of what is called ‘The richest game in football’, would you have the bottle to step up and take a penalty worth £184.9m?

Yeah, that’s right – all you have to do is kick a round ball between a white frame to secure you and your team ‘One Hundred and Eighty Four Point Nine MILLION Pound’.

Well thanks to Christopher Schindler’s winning penalty that’s exactly what it means to Huddersfield Town. Next season they will be playing Premier League football, pretty good for a club that has not played in the top tier for 45-years.

Maybe your not quite cut out for that? How about indulging into something a little more extreme in terms of adrenaline but that does not have the pressure of £184.9m hanging over them!
