Cited to be the toughest marathon in the world, the annual Marathon de Sables is all set to take place from 4 – 14 April in Morocco. Some 1,200 participants from around the world have signed up to this foot race which consists of multiple stages over a distance of 240km! Carrying your own backpack filled with food, clothes and sleeping gear across sand dunes, rocky terrain and in blistering conditions is not for the faint hearted, yet the event continues to attract growing attention each year from individuals and teams looking for THE extreme challenge.
