World Cup Russia 2018

France add second star to shirts as they win the 2018 World Cup.

The score ended 4 – 2 to France and it only took 18 minutes for the deadline to be broken which came in the form of Croatian own goal, however Croatia got the equaliser with Perišić hitting the back of the net on 28′.

France then took the lead with a Griezmann penalty, awarded by the video assistant referee (VAR) on 38 minutes, then Pogba Goal further extended their lead 14 minutes after the half-time break.

It only took another 6 minutes for France to score their fourth with 19 year old Mbappé finding the net from outside of the box, becoming the first teenager, since Pelé, to score in a World Cup Final.

Mandžukić pulled one back for Croatia as he capitalised on a mistake from the French goalkeeper on 69 minutes but it was to little to late.

Antoine Griezmann was awarded ‘man of the match’ in a game that was watched by 78,011 inside the Luzhniki Stadium, in Moscow, Russia.
