The Notorious electrified the Madison Square Garden crowd with a dominant and measured performance, dropping the former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez three times in the opening round alone.
The American never established a foothold in the bout, and the referee was forced to call the fight by T.K.O. when McGregor sent his opponent to the canvas once more… And with that stoppage after 3:04 of round two Conor McGregor silenced his critics and further cemented his place in the history books of MMA.
He leaves New York city with both the featherweight, and the lightweight belts, and big decisions to make about his next move.
